In order to continually ensure the highest product quality in sensors, Piezocryst manufactures almost all parts in-house. The special challenge lies not only in the small size and the extremely tight tolerances (for example, the height tolerances are often in the sub-micrometer range), but also in the fact that the components are manufactured from difficult-to-machine nickel-based alloys. These alloys are as hard as the tools used for processing. In addition, some of these materials harden at the time of processing and cannot be rectified. Many components are 100% controlled to meet high quality standards. To ensure the tightest measurement accuracy, special precision machines operated exclusively by highly qualified staff are used in the manufacturing process.
